ShotKam is a barrel-mounted camera for shooting sports. Its mobile app only exposes a fraction of the available settings. ShotKam Configurator lets you read, edit, and export the full device configuration.
Unlock advanced options like custom sleep timers and per-mode sensitivity that aren't available in the mobile app.
How it works
Get your config file
Connect your ShotKam to your computer using the USB-C connector, and locate shtkmcfg.ini in the SHOTKAM folder.
Adjust your settings
Load the file here and use clear controls to change shooting mode settings, sensitivity, and more.
Export & Save
Download the updated file, copy it back to the SHOTKAM folder as shtkmcfg.ini, and you're done.
Good to know
The ShotKam mobile app only exposes a subset of the available device settings. By editing the shtkmcfg.ini file directly, you can access advanced options and "hidden" settings such as custom sleep timers for shooting modes. ShotKam Configurator makes that process easy, although you might as well use a simple text editor if you know what to edit. ShotKam Configurator currently does not expose all possible settings, but I am steadily adding more as I discover them.
I discovered the shtkmcfg.ini file by contacting ShotKam support as I was looking for a way to keep the camera in ready mode longer when waterfowling. If you reach out to ShotKam to edit hidden settings, they will instruct you to send this file and edit it for you. In addition to the settings this tool edits, the file also containts your personal settings such as calibration data, so it is important to only edit your personal config file, and not upload other people's files to your ShotKam.
The default config file on your Shotkam should be very nicely commented by ShotKam team. You can learn a lot about settings by reading it.
I do not know if this voids your warranty. I do not know if editing the config file has any chance of bricking your ShotKam. Use this tool at your own risk. Always keep a backup of your original config file.
I have only tested this on Gen 4 (not the mini). I have no idea about other models. If you have a different model and want to test it, please make a backup of your config file and try uploading it here. I would be very interested in seeing config files from other camera models, but I cannot guarantee support for them.
